On Saturday 8th June, the St James' MAD team descended onto Oxhey Village Green to extend our work through outreach at the annual OVEG fayre. This saw us engage with local residents and promote the society further as well advertise our Murder Mystery which will take place on 3rd July.
To add to the fun, we had a pop-up photo booth where adults and kids could try on our array of costumes/props and pose for some silly pictures! At 15:30, Mandy and the MAD Youth members were centre stage in the main arena where they hosted parachute games in rather blustery conditions.
Despite the gale force winds, the gazebo remained upright (just) and with the help of Teresa's B&Q purchase of some tarpaulin, the day was a success! Thanks to all our members who helped and came out to support. We also very much look forward to welcoming those we met at the Fayre into our group!
